Just in case you were thinking there aren’t enough events in Monterey during Pebble Beach week help is on the way.  A new concours, the first annual Carmel-by-the-Sea Concours will be held on Ocean Avenue, Carmel California on Tuesday, August 14th, 2007.  This is the Tuesday before the big weekend of the Monterey Historic Automobile Races and the Pebble Beach Concours.

So, now you can get a jump on all of the events and warm up with a concours-by-the sea.

While all the details are still being worked out, the organizers  have developed a list of classes and decided that all  entrants will be post-World War II, 1947-1971.

“We are serving some segments that have not previously had continuous display at this level during Monterey Week, especially hot rods and muscle cars.  We plan to have classes for these each year. We will also welcome more traditional entries,” said Michael Lynch.

The list of classes and an example of a class entrant they would encourage.
