DETROIT -- OK, we've all heard that General Motors is hiding a
secret carbutertor in its basement that will give a car 100 miles per
gallon. Of course, cars don't use carbuerators any more and GM has
moved its headquarters. But myths and other urban legends have
followed the auto giant to its shiny new headquarters in Detroit's
Rennaissance Center.
Being a giant makes you a target and it's
unlikely that people will ever stop concocting tall tales about this
automaker but GM has decided that instead of saying, "no comment"
they'll actively confront these rumors and innuendos with a new blog,
GM Facts and Fiction.
The site already has a list of topics, "GM is looking for a government bailout, GM vehicles are not as fuel efficient as comparable imports, GM is going bankrupt'" and more.
If you want to see if they've handled your favorite myths or you have something you think will stump the General log on to their website: http://gmfactsandfiction.com
