Be prepared to see 15, 000 classic cars and meet 250,000 visitors from 40 countries on July 5th, 6th, and 7th in Vasteras, Sweden.

"We're celebrating our 30th anniversary this year," say Klas Brink, prime mover and organizer of Power Meet. "So expect even more classic cars, people, swap-meet vendors and celebrating than ever before."

Invited guests include Jay Leno and Per Blixt, his Swedish mechanic from Big Dog Garage.

During the show's three days, you'll enjoy cruising, exhibits, markets, the awards show, and festive celebrations. You'll get to meet and interview organizers, exhibitors, and car enthusiasts from around the world.

Power Big Meet is a part of the Vasteras Lake Festival, a month-long celebration with
concerts, a dance festival, markets, family activities, and a festival for the environment. Enjoy street rods, customs, 50's cruisers, 60's muscle cars, Corvettes, Mustangs, and Cameros. The festival offers a spectacular display of Raggare - a Swedish cultural phenomenon, people associated with rockabilly music, and classic American cars. Swedes are also well known worldwide for skillfulness in car restoration and automotive engineering. Media from around the globe cover this event each year.

About Vasteras

Vasteras is Sweden's sixth largest city. It's situated in the heart of the well-populated Mälardalen region, beside a lake and just a one-hour drive from Stockholm, the capital. In 2006, Vasteras grew the most - of all cities in Sweden. Vasteras is renowned for its business enterprises and entrepreneurs - it's the birthplace of the H&M retail chain and the ABB company's hometown (ABB is a global leader in power and automation technologies). Mikael Genberg's (local artist) surreal art installations and hotels have attracted worldwide attention.
